Tol Cloud-Yinkin

When Yinkin seduced Tarhelera he used the name Tol (Thunder Rebels/189). He fought the Serpentbeast Brotherhood as Tol, and this subcult is principally followed by those Yinkini who seek his powers against the Hsunchen.

This section details the skills and of the Tol Cloud-Yinkin subcult. It is not yet complete; we have yet to decide whether or not to include other spells and material derived from Hero Wars and the net.

Skills

Standard Yinkin + Hsunchen Lore.

Spirit Magic

Standard Yinkin + Spirit Screen.

Divine Magic

Standard Yinkin + Fight Hsunchen, Fight Tooth and Claw, Hurt Spirits, Ignore Wounds, TrueClaw.

Notes

All members of this subcult gain the Sense Hsunchen skill starting at 30% + Perception bonus.

Sense Hsunchen

Perception skill.

This skill works just like Sense Chaos. It will detect the presence of hsunchen within 15m (30m if a priest).

Spells

Fight Hsunchen

Divine, 1 point, temporal, touch, non-stackable.

This spell increases the recipients combat skills to 150% of their current value when fighting Hsunchen, creatures tied to the beast rune, and animal spirits. (P)

Fight Tooth and Claw

Divine, 3 points, self, non-stackable, temporal.

This spell induces an almost berserk frenzy in the Yinkini caster that has the following effects. Attack chances increase to 150% of their current value, the caster may not parry but can dodge, and has the benefits of a Berserk spell with respect to wounds and damage taken. The caster may not cast spells when under the effect of this spell, and suffers the same loss of FP at the spell’s conclusion that a berserk would. The spell only works if the Yinkini is using natural weapons, ending instantly if they use other weaponry. It is not stackable with Attack percentage increasing spells other than the Fight Hsunchen spell; it is compatible with TrueClaw. (J/P)

Hide from Spirits

Divine, 2 points, self, non-stackable, temporal.

For the duration of the spell, the user will not be detected by spirits, no matter how close they are. This has a similar effect to Invisibilty for sighted people. (SP)

Hurt  Spirits

Divine, 1 point, touch, non-stackable, temporal.

This must be cast on a person. For the duration of the spell, any damage done by that person, his weapons, his magic or in spirit combat or any other kind of damage-causing effect is increased by 1D6. (SP)

Ignore Wounds

Divine, 1 point, self, non-stackable, temporal.

Once cast the Yinkini can ignore the effects of wounds and pain. Since this normally has no effect in RuneQuest it is of limited effect, but in certain situations will be of use (for instance, to ignore the effects of torture, or not to cry out in pain when struck). (NE)
